XL Drinking Horn Black Leather Belt Frog

This authentic drinking horn is hand carved from all-natural buffalo horn, with each piece individually crafted to measure between 20 and 23 inches along the spine. The exterior is polished to a smooth shine, and the coloring varies according to how the horn grew in nature, mostly black and calcium white, so no two are exactly alike. The horn holds approximately 1100 to 1400 ml of water, wine, beer, or ale, and its tapered shape means it cannot be set down until empty, making it a natural fit for ceremonial toasts or everyday use.

A thick leather frog with a black finish is included and adjusts to fix the horn securely to a belt, keeping it within reach whether you are at a feast, a reenactment, or a gathering of friends. The horn is a natural item, so the color and shape may vary from the picture, and it may carry a slight odor or minor scratches from buffing.

Before first use, clean the horn and coat the inside with beeswax by melting it, pouring it in, and letting it dry before pulling it out. Wash with a gentle detergent and polish with vegetable oil to keep the horn from drying out, and reapply beeswax from time to time to prevent cracking. Do not use hot liquids in this item.
